About Sepehr
Sepehr Mehrabanzad brings over 30 years of product development experience to Federated Wireless. No stranger to start-ups or to spectrum, Sepehr came from Sentient Wireless, a company he co-founded with a focus on cloud-native implementation for shared spectrum and private networks operation while an entrepreneur-in-residence at Matrix Partners.
Previously, Sepehr was a founding engineer at Airvana, a leader in wireless mobile broadband. Sepehr led the engineering organizations for development of consumer small cells and 3G macro cellular product line deployed by operators globally. During his tenure, Sepehr expanded the engineering capabilities from a few engineers into a multidisciplinary organization delivering full-featured, complex hardware and software solutions.
Prior to joining Airvana, Sepehr was with Motorola-Codex and Racal-Milgo. While at Motorola, he was a leading contributor in the successful commercial launch of ITU’s standards for V.90/V.92 high-speed modems.
Sepehr is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineers (IEEE) and holds 22 issued patents. He completed his education at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he earned a M.S. in Electrical Engineering, B.S. in Electrical Engineering, and a B.S. in Applied Mathematics.
